Our team at CRHDG consists of a talented group of women working together to design extraordinary spaces and bringing exceptional dynamics to projects because of our diverse backgrounds. Each member of the team has individually and collectively accomplished great tasks. With more than 20 years of management skills, including project/program management and implementation; over 15 years of design skills, and; over 15 years of business skills, our team has the knowledge and experience to successfully fulfill the design needs of any project under the leadership of Carnela Renee Hill.
CRDHG’s Design Team
Carnela Renee Hill, Master Designer, has over 12 years experience in the interior design business, and 20+ years in project/program management, implementation, and negotiations. With a strong technical and management background, Carnela Renee Hill has led numerous IT implementations with a team of 13 or more people for Fortune 500 clients, representing AT&T. Because of her professionalism and business ethics, she was requested by many of the executives to handle special projects and was placed on the fast track for career growth. With many skills learned at AT&T, Carnela Renee Hill chose to follow her passion of interior design and build CR Hill Design Group, LLC. Her success in the interior design world has occurred through building relationships, working hard, satisfying clients, and applying her education. Her vast knowledge of the industry comes from hands-on experience and teaching Interior Design on a college level. She is business savvy and detail oriented, which allows her to work with architects and general contractors on a level that benefits the client and improves the project. Her determination to solve problems using the latest technology for viable solutions that creates a win-win solution for all and keeps CRHDG ahead of the competition. Her open and frequent communication with people is one of her strongest skills. Her passion for design, professionalism, and sense of humor make her projects enjoyable. Her experiences and contributions are clearly shown in her work and amongst her team, overcoming challenges with very little struggle—even on some of the most difficult projects. Sharon Artis, Project Manager/Designer, has designed for over 10 years. She has worked with Carnela Renee Hill since the start of CRHDG. Her project management skills in the corporate sector transferred to the design world and her design training played an instrumental role in the projects CRHDG has acquired. Sharon has the ability to quickly identify color choices for a consistent flow. She can identify and place furniture that is functional, yet pleasing to the eye, and that gives a designer edge. She is detailed-oriented and has quick wit to overcome challenges. One of her major projects with CRHDG was the First Baptist Church Life Enrichment Center (LEC) project. The LEC project was a 40,000 square-foot facility that Sharon assisted Carnela Renee Hill with completing successfully, on-time, and on budget. The entire facility was warm and colorful in a way that was tasteful, and exceeding the client’s expectations. Sharon brings her strong design, project management, problem-solving, and customer communication skills to each project.
Kim Atkinson, Junior Designer, has an A.A.S degree in Interior Design from Wake Technical Community College. Kim is a former student of Carnela Renee Hill’s, in the Interior Design program at Living Arts College. Kim worked in interior design while pursuing her degree, which fostered a unique relationship and understanding of each client’s preferences to effectively aid in the selection of materials and fabrics, as well as coordinating project installations quickly and successfully with many vendors. Kim is able to efficiently coordinate closely with Carnela Renee Hill on projects, managing multiple projects, which range from commercial facilities to residential homes that require a keen eye for detail. Her fluency in the leading design programs, including 2D Architectural Drafting, Auto-Cad, Revit, SketchUp 8, and Adobe Creative Suite 6, keeps CRHDG on the cutting edge of technology.
Paula Reid, Special Event/Staging, has a Business degree from Harbarger Junior College. She is a certified stager. Paula has a variety of customer service skills and organization. She is great at multi-tasking with quick turn-around. Paula’s energetic personality maintains her positive attitude, and keeps her ready to assist, as-needed.
